Products and Services

Micro-Hybrid Electronic GmbH is one of the world market leaders in the development and production of sophisticated customer-specific electronic solutions. We have been developing and producing innovative microelectronics and infrared sensors for over 25 years. Our customers benefit from unsurpassed solutions for control tasks in difficult environmental conditions. Our portfolio ranges from ceramic substrates and housings for miniaturized electronic modules for sensor control to infrared components and sensors for temperature measurement and gas analysis as well as inertial measurements in railway and rail applications.
MPS4x4C-A-S1.5-2-XX – Four channel pyroelectric high SNR detector

Our pyroelectric sensors are specially designed for NDIR gas analysis or flame detection. The quad detector analyzes up to 3 gases or detects typical spectral emissions of burning materials.
Our pyro detector is based on MEMS technology. It consists of a 0.5 µm thinfilm Ceramic Pyroelectrical Material (CPM) mounted on a silicon-based membrane. The optically transparent front electrode absorbes IR radiation in a wide range from 2 – 15 µm and can be customized with optical filters.

Fertility monitoring with CO2 breath gas analysis

New technology to predict fertile days in the female cycle - measuring the concentration of carbon dioxide in exhaled air with infrared technology is the key to an innovative, digital ovulation test for women.

A new method of tracking fertile days in the cycle opens up yet another field of application for infrared gas measurement. By analyzing the CO2 level in the exhaled air it is now possible to accurately determine fertility non-invasively and without side effects. This new approach to monitoring can be used for natural cycle control as well as for the fulfillment of a child's wish.

During fertile days, the level of carbon dioxide in the breathing air decreases. To determine fertility, it is necessary to calmly breathe into the test device for one minute every day. The breath is exposed to infrared light. The CO2 molecules absorb part of the IR radiation and the sensor in detects any difference in the transmission of the carbon dioxide. The altered output signal is evaluated by an electronic module and shows the result in a user-friendly way in an mobile app.

For the analysis of the concentration of CO2, Micro-Hybrid offers all necessary infrared components: IR emitters and detectors.

Non contact temperature measurement for the metal industry

IR Thermopile detectors for operating temperatures ranging from -20 to +180 °C used in Casting, forging or die forming: Sensors survey material temperatures for control and optimization of the entire process in metal production or processing.

MTS Thermopile detectors reliably determine the surface temperature at close and medium distances of metal on moving objects or objects that are difficult to access, in harsh environments or of fragile measurement targets.

In comparison to common packaging technologies, the filter of the MTS 1 Hightemp is soldered and therefore resistant to various environmental influences such as heat, aggressive gases or high humidity and allows operating temperatures between -20 and +180 °C. The IR detector MTS 1 TEMP provides excellent performance in contactless temperature measurement: best detectivity up to 7.2 x 108 cm x Hz1/2/W, high sensivity up to 295 V/W and short response times of typ. 30 ms.

The MTS 1 Hightemp is available as standard version in TO-39 housing in our webshop. Our sales team would be happy to advise you on customer-specific adaptations, such as other housings, filling gases or thermistors for compensation of the ambient temperature.

Saving time is saving money

Gain advantages on the way to market: head start thanks to test measurements of gases frequently used in industrial applications such as CO2, CO, HC, SF6, NOX, H2O, NO, SO2 that can be done at short notice

With limited project times and development budgets, our NDIR bundle can speed things up in several ways. Developers save valuable project hours searching for different suppliers and the laborious matching of both components for the test setup - thanks to the ideal combination of IR emitters and detectors in the NDIR bundle "industrial gases".

For the selected process gases, these IR components are available from one supplier in a short time and without any minimum quantities thanks to the prefabricated kit. The set enables rapid tests with different emitter setups in the measurement system and the evaluation of sensors for individual measurement tasks in industrial applications such as

    •    Condition monitoring
    •    Monitoring of processes
    •    Plant control
    •    Quality control
    •    Exhaust gas analysis

The set consists of four NAC-based JSIR 350 series emitters in different housings and six matched MTS thermopiles with two or four channels.
