HighFinesse GmbH, situated in Tübingen, Germany, is the world-leading supplier for wavelength meters and further cutting-edge technology such as calibration sources, spectrometers, linewidth analyzers, and precision current sources.

The wavelength meter product series includes the world’s most accurate wavelength meter WS8-2 and the WS6-200 FAST with measurement speeds up to 76 kHz. The wavelength range from 192 to 11000 nm is covered.

The standalone modification comes in a 3U 19-inch case and can be easily integrated into standardized processes.
The Linewidth Analyzers LWA-1k allow for the precise characterization of the frequency noise density spectrum, lineshape and active linewidth reduction.

Tailor-made calibration sources for the wavelength meter series are offered.
The LSA series offers compact, robust, and accurate spectrum analyzers.
HighFinesse Precision Current Sources are ideal equipment when both precise control, adjustable response time and high currents up to 200 A are needed.

Linewidth Analyzer

The HighFinesse Linewidth Analyzers are high-end optical instruments for measuring, analyzing and controlling frequency and intensity noise of laser light sources. By combining an interferometric working principle with ultra-low noise electronics, a superb sensitivity is achieved.
The real-time signal output offers the option for a fast feedback loop that can be used to actively reduce the frequency noise of the laser.


The HighFinesse WS Fast series features ultra-high-speed measurement rates, the fastest commercially available. Excellent accuracy combined with maximum data acquisition rate of up to 76 kHz, allowing fast dynamics in the kHz range to be directly observed. Different measurement modes enable the user to record or view the frequency behavior of the light source. For example, sweep linearity can be controlled with this instrument.

Wavelength Meter

The robust HighFinesse high precision WS8-2 wavemeter, with the world leading Fizeau-technology, is the unsurpassed high-end instrument for wavelength measurement of pulsed or cw laser sources. It delivers superb absolute and relative accuracy required by cutting-edge scientific research, as well as industrial and medical applications. News & Innovations

Linewidth and Frequency Noise in C + L Band
The proven HighFinesse Linewidth Analyzers can be used to characterize lasers and laser diodes for frequency noise, lineshape and RIN.
